Children's Ministry

Grace Evangelical Free church offers a variety of children's programming that is taught by caring individuals who are dedicated to helping children learn about God's love for them and grow in their relationship with him.

Junior Church

Junior Church is held on Sunday Mornings during the worship service.  Junior Church is for children, ages 4 through 5th Grade.  Junior Church typically runs from September through July.  There are currently two classes running, ages 4 through 2nd Grade, and 3rd Grade through 5th Grade. 

Upon arrival, or after the Connection Group time, children remain under the supervision of their parents until they are dismissed.  Children are typically dismissed before the last worship song.  At that time they are supervised as they leave the sanctuary and go to their classrooms.  Children are never left unattended, as the safety of our children is our first priority.

 The Guppy Room

The Guppy Room serves as a transitional room for children ages 3-4 years old.  This room was developed to provide more structure and help to prepare children for more formal instruction.  Children in the Guppy Room participate in age appropriate activities in a loving and caring atmosphere.  A typical lesson consists of a Bible Story with an accompanying craft.  The activities are fast paced to help maintain attention and participation.  A snack is also provided. 

His Lights Children's Connection Group is held during the Sunday Morning Connection Group time, 9:15-10:00 am.  His Lights is a multi-age group with differentiated instruction and activities, as needed, for children ages 4 through 8th Grade.  His Lights is a program that was created to increase exposure to more traditional songs, such as "This Little Light of Mine" and Hymns.  Children will have the opportunitiy to learn the biblical meaning behind the lyrics, as well as perform the songs for the congregation as they are learned.

Nursery

A staffed nursery is provided for children birth through 2-3 years for the Connection Group time, Sunday Morning Service, and for some special events.  For more information go the the Nursery page.
